Baha'i Faith's History:
- Founded: Siyyid Ali-Muhammad, a 25-year-old merchant in the city of Shiraz, Persia, announces that He has been sent by God to prepare humanity for a new age and the appearance of another Messenger even greater than Himself. He takes the title of the bab, meaning “Gate” in Arabic. Founded a century and a half ago, the Bahá’í Faith is today among the fastest-growing of the world’s religions. With more than five million followers, who is virtually every nation on earth, it is the second-most biggest religion of faith, every religion but Christianity in its reach.
